Oppositions

 

Procedure of Oppositions

Any natural or legal person, having legitimate interest, resident in the Greek territory, have the right to oppose to the registration applications or amendments of specifications.

Oppositions are submitted, according to Annex V of the CMD 261611/2007 (OJ 4068), within the time limit, to the following address:

It is noted that all the interested parties, applicants and objectors, have access to all the data concerning the concerned file.

Publication of applications for registration and for amendment of specifications in the Official Journal of the European Union in order to lodge a substantiated statement of opposition

  1. In order to see the list of names published in the Official Journal of the EU for which the Commission considers that all conditions are met, follow the instructions:
    • Connect to DOOR database
    • In the window “processing phase of the application” choose “has been published”
    • Choose “Search”
  2. In order to see the published Single Document concerning the above names:
    • Choose the specific number of the file
    • In the display window, select the issue C of the Official Journal of the European Union

Opposition Procedure

In the case of registration applications or applications for amendment of specifications, any Member State or Third Country may lodge an opposition statement, within three months from the date of publication, in the Official Journal of the European Union, according to the Annex III of the Reg. (EC) 668/2014.

A natural or legal person, having a legitimate interest established or resident in a Member state other (other than the one applied for the registration) may also object to the proposed registration by lodging a duly substantiated statement according to the Annex III of the Reg. (EC) 668/2014.

In the case of a natural or legal person established or resident in Member state, such statement shall be lodged through the Member state within a time-limit permitting an objection in the Commission of the E.U.

Oppositions of natural or legal persons established in Greece are submitted to the following Hellenic Authority:
